Personal Statement- Inspired By
investigate the work,background and influences of an artist (can be more than one)that inspires you.
Using the tools and skills you have learned, create a body of work that emulates this artist's work... don't imitate.

Make this work your own, related to your interests or your personal take on the world.
Try to make it fresh, unique, different- reflecting your tastes.

You will shoot multiple sessions using at least two rolls of film.
You will produce a series of at least 4 images that should be viewed in sequence.
You will create an artist statement for this work.

The images may or may not have text related to them for the viewer.

Consider sequence, flow and unity of design and content to strengthen your series.

Steps for completion of this assignment:

1) Consider your options and opportunities and consult with the instructor to make sure this project will work for the class.

2) Shoot your first roll (s), contact print, evaluate.

4) Consult with instructor to develop strategies for completion.
You must have the first attempts evaluated before shooting the followup.

5) Shoot more film

6) Produce at least 4 half sheet prints for presentation.

7) Prepare an artist statement and title for the series.
Include information about the artist that inspires you and what you did toemulate them

Identify your work! You must identify the sequence of the images and provide your statement and contact sheets.
