Personal
Narrative
This is your opportunity to refine your exploration of your own artistic
vision.
You will produce a collection
of images similar to the groups of images found in a publication like
Light Work's Contact Sheet or in a gallery or museum show.
Our society
is made up of many different cultures, subcultures, and lifestyles.
We all have aspects of our lives that others might not be aware of.
For this project you are to document some aspect of your life and the
part of society you connect with in the form of a virtual photo show.
You will share
your special insight to this part of your life and our culture.
You should be familiar with your subject and have the accessibility to
photograph your subject in depth and repeatedly.
This is a project about investigation and social awareness.
You are the cultural observer, recorder, documenting an aspect of our
society or exploring your personal artistic vision.
You will shoot multiple
sessions exposing many images.
You will produce a slideshow of related images with
text descriptions/titles.
You will create a title for the total production.
You will create an artist
statement for this work.
The artist statement will be the last slide in your presentation.
Consider sequence, flow
and unity of design and content to strengthen your series.
