Be Sure to Bring Your Camera to Class | |||
This
class is an introduction to photography using a digital camera and computer
rather than film and a darkroom. The principles of photography are the
same but the process is different. You will be using Adobe Photoshop on an IMac computer. This is not an extensive class in photoshop. |

You MUST have a camera that can adjust the shutter speed and the lens aperture (f/stop) |

Digital
Camera Selection Camera
selection is complicated- The
camera MUST have manual control over the Shutter Speed and the Lens
Opening. A good reference site is DP Review- with a camera feature search section- Look for the features of aperture priority and shutter priority. Check the features on your camera with this database. |

Digital File
Management
You
need extra camera storage media (memory cards) [sd, cf, xd, stick] Cameras
create different size files- You
will also need a flash memory device or external hard-drive to back up
your work. |

Tripod You
need a steady camera support. |
