For this class you will need a digital camera with manual control over exposure, aperture and focus (Usually made with A&T or AV & TV selections.. These cameras can be "point and shoot" types. You will also need a tripod to make long exposures.
Digital SLR

This camera doesn't have to be a "Digital SLR" or have huge megapixel sensors... although Digital SLR cameras offer the most control over image making.
